Rosa: positive changes leading to creativity

Patient: Rosa, 72 years old
Institution: Caritas
Therapists: Liliana and Inés

Rosa was born in Catamarca, a Province in northern Argentina on 3/3/1945. She's retired and lives alone with her two puppies.

She got married, had two children, divorced her husband when their children were young, being in a state of total lack of protection because her husband took all of them off from the social security.

She has had knee pain since 2013, has a broken meniscus, a cyst and osteoarthritis in the same left knee. ("They forced me to bow down.")

She has had bronchial problems since childhood. She currently suffers from arthrosis in the spine, pain in the joints of her left foot since the beginning of 2016, a cyst in her liver, gallbladder issues, hypertension, and headaches.

Her son died of AIDS 20 years ago and her 45 year-old daughter, with whom she has a bad relationship, suffers from panic attacks and is the single mother of a 24 year-old son. Rosa has a 70 year-old brother with whom she has no relationship.

She says she has a very bad character and is very bossy, obsessive with the arrangement of her house ("I keep cleaning so that everything is perfect") and of her person ("I do not like that they see me in bad shape, that's why I always am fixed").

She states that after her separation from her husband, she would leave her children alone, to go dancing. It was a promiscuous stage in her life that she recognizes as a source of guilt.

She remembers having lived through situations of abuse during her childhood, being very young; and, she was always afraid of rape. She's had dreams about this.

Medications: For cholesterol, hypertension and circulation, anti-inflammatories, pain relievers, anti-allergicalls, bronchodilators and omeprazole as a stomach protector.

Throughout the treatment, she presented improvements. she even made a trip to Mendoza with other people belonging to a group of retirees. During those 8 days, she had no pain, nor was agitated despite having walked a lot and gone on tours to the mountain. That is why her cardiologist and her pulmonologist agree that her pains were mostly psychosomatic.

During her trip she felt that "she was well planted" and attributes it to the process she did in almost a year with Flower Essence Therapy.

The essences used throughout the treatment, in different stages, were:

Crab Apple, Sweet Chestnut, Star of Bethlehem, Chicory, Heather, White Chestnut, Impatiens, Hornbeam, Beech, Rock Rose, Mimulus

Mountain Pride, Eucalyptus, Grapefruit, Yarrow, Lilac, California Wild Rose

Saint Germain, Animo y Equilibrio, Varus, Piper

Dagger Hakea, Waratah, Sturt Desert Pea, Sturt Desert Rose, Red Grevillea

Rosa currently exhibits positive changes: She is eager to do creative things, she does not lie down at naptime, she reads novels, she goes to Chi Kung, she does Kinesiology, she is more relieved of her pain, she cooks and she is organizing an invitation to have dinner with her daughter and grandson.

For a living, she makes handmade liquors to sell. Also, and with great creativity, she weaves shoes for children and adults and sells them on orders of her clients.
