Aura-Soma Color Therapy

In 2001, Begoña Siegrist completed training as an Aura-Soma practitioner, having worked through three levels of advancement. This method of color therapy provides a means through which people can express themselves and their emotions if they are unable to easily identify and express them verbally. “Colors are a way to accurately identify what people feel; it’s a very precise method. A client who is unable to express their emotions is asked to select four bottles from the range of 103 combinations of the Aura-Soma collection of colors in clear bottles. The bottles tell me how they are feeling. I’ll ask them then, do you feel fear, or whatever it is that the bottles will indicate, and they’ll say yes…”

What does color do for the soul?

"In color therapy, we use color to balance the energy wherever our bodies are lacking, be it physical, emotional, spiritual or mental. Our attraction for certain colors may very well signal areas where our potential is or the areas where we are unbalanced.

In aura-soma therapy, the visible light spectrum has been placed over the human body. Each color of the band ROYGBIV has been placed in a specific area of the body. They call us HUE-MAN.

The color red, which is has the longest wavelength and the lowest frequency has to do with the basic functions of our body: sexual, survival issues, vitality and energy. Red has a warming effect.

Violet, which has the shortest wavelength and the fastest frequency, is a very refreshing and soothing color. It is placed in our crown area where the most complex functions of our body take place (thinking, perception, spiritual opening, etc.).

The other colors are placed in the rest of our body as follows:

Orange- Stomach

Yellow- Solar Plexus

Green- Heart

Blue- Throat

Indigo- Third eye

When a client selects a particular color it will immediately give us accurate information about his or her potential and/or her actual challenge. This technique works very well for children, because it is very difficult to obtain verbal information from them, and color helps us to know what to ask or where to begin. In fact, this technique is about self-knowledge. Since the therapist does not interfere with the color selection, the client takes responsibility and is certain about his selection.

Color therapy helps to balance our bodies, our emotions, and our minds, and help us on our spiritual journey. Everything in this universe is related and color is a wonderful way to understand this relationship."
