The eighth and final MetaFlora level is actually a kind of comprehensive soul activity that embraces and expands upon the previous seven MetaFlora levels. It is the circle which makes the whole of the Soul Wheel. This MetaFlora level has to do with the development of our soul connection to the earth. In alchemical healing, the highest goal for the soul is not its personal development as such, but rather personal development which leads to the redemption of, and compassion for the whole of the earth. The ability to sense the earth as a living being, to find communion and connection with the realms of Nature is a soul need which has been greatly damaged in our modern era.

The flower essences ultimately work to re-orient our sensitivity for the living earth. All of the other MetaFlora levels are needed in order to develop this eighth, comprehensive capacity: by purifying our emotions, aligning our physical bodies and senses, learning how to perceive and think with living forces of the soul, developing compassion and service in the world, refining our sensitivity and empathetic attunement, taking responsibility for our shadow side, and bringing spiritual forces into our earthly identity, we are building our consciousness for the spiritual identity of the earth, or Gaia. This MetaFlora level involves stimulating and renewing our interest in Nature, and the ability to expand our perception beyond seeing the earth as only a material thing. As we become increasingly sensitive to the qualities and messages within all living things, we are able to receive these into our own soul, building the pathway by which the human soul unites with the soul of the world.  Many of the essences in this final MetaFlora level are green coloured. It is highly unusual for flowers to stay green, but those that do express a particular affinity for Gaia. Some key essences which address this final MetaFlora level include:

Lady's Mantle  Also called Alchemia, this plant builds awareness for the earth as a living being, especially idea of mother earth who nurtures and protects us

Green Rose  To assist the love forces in the heart, to help the soul develop loving compassion and consideration of the earth

Green Cross Gentian  To carry the earth in our consciousness, especially the suffering or distress of the earth

Yellow Star Tulip  Empathic connection and sensitivity for the speaking of other life forms; ability to listen and to translate the soul voice of the earth

Poison Oak  To transform mars-like aggression and sensitivity which invades and conquers the earth, overly developed warrior forces

Sweet Pea  To build positive community in harmony with the earth, to find home in the soul and on the earth; for deep alienation or nomadism that prevents the soul from receiving and giving life force

Corn  The ability to feel connected with earth forces, especially through one's hands and feet; grounding and embodiment

Glassy Hyacinth  The ability of the soul to descend into hell, to transform death and destruction into positive forces of light and goodness, to take on the suffering of the earth

Joshua Tree  Healing the family tree and genetic coding, overcoming ethnocentrism and geographic attachments to land; ability to work for goals that foster global humanity

Green Rein Orchid  Ability to feel the life force of the earth, to harmonize one's sense of life and personal sexuality with the earth as a whole

Green Bells of Ireland  To cleanse the heart and mind so that one's perception can be in harmony with the life and intelligence flowing in Nature
