MetaFlora Level Five  The Chalice of the Soul: Sensitivity and Artistry

In the previous MetaFlora level, the soul develops the capacity to serve in the world by developing social forces which extend and connect.  In this MetaFlora level the direction is inward and sensitising. Of course each of these MetaFlora levels need each other, but here the emphasis is on the soul's personal domain. By enriching and refining its own soul colours, the soul's innate creativity is cultivated. Especially important in this MetaFlora level is our sense of personal connection with others; particularly the intimate and the sacred dimension of relationships and sexuality.  In this MetaFlora level are also the artistic impulses of the soul, and the way in which we create sanctuary in our homes, and cultivate beauty in ourselves and in our environments. The path of artistry encourages the soul to speak in its own language, further enhanced by other inner work such as dreamwork, contemplation, and reflection.  As with other MetaFlora levels, the soul can be over-developed, with extreme sensitivity which is so intensely personal that it becomes narcissistic self-absorption, or fallen sexuality which degenerates to self-centred promiscuity. The following are the key flower essences which promote the positive working of the MetaFlora level:

Iris  The most fundamental essence for awakening the soul to its own creativity and inspiration; restores and revitalises the innate artistic impulses of the soul

Star Tulip  Sensitises the soul, develops inner capacities of listening and receiving, especially attunement to subtle worlds

Yellow Star Tulip  Empathic and telepathic soul forces, the ability to understand and respect what others are saying and feeling

Calendula  Warmth and relatedness in the social process, nurturing qualities which overcome argumentativeness or criticalness

Yarrow  To help protect and consolidate the subtle bodies, when overly-permeable and porous

Yarrow Environmental Solution  Broad based environmental sensitivity and allergic reactiveness

Pretty Face  To help the soul finds its true, inner relationship to beauty, especially when identity is defined in only exterior or cultural standards of beauty

Sticky Monkeyflower  To develop sexual relationships based on warmth, love and soul intimacy

Pink Monkeyflower  For deep shame and sensitivity in the soul in which the self hides its essential nature from others, often due to sexual trauma

White Trumpet (Easter) Lily  For ambivalence about sexual forces, especially coldness and prudishness versus promiscuity and excess passion

Bleeding Heart  Deep feelings of attachment to others which are too extreme or dysfunctional; allowing the heart to love in freedom
