M etaFlora Level Three  Quickening of Consciousness
and Alchemical Transformation

MetaFlora Level Three points to the ability of the soul to learn from its experience, and by so doing, continue to evolve, adapt and transform. Here we are concerned with stagnation in the soul, such as the repetition of patterns or habits which can't seem to be broken. In these ways the soul life is lacking in lustre, or intelligence.  The mind needs to grasp the basic lessons of the soul by igniting the fire of thinking and active perception. It also applies to shallow, scattered or nervous states in which one lives life in the fast lane. In these circumstances, the soul flits from one surface change to another, but does not develop depth of consciousness or genuine mindfulness. Key archetypal essences for MetaFlora Level Three include:

Chestnut Bud  Constant repetition of experiences, without being able to grasp the important lessons or truths

Scleranthus  Extreme vacillation and restlessness in the soul, wavering between choices without being able to make firm decisions

Dill  Sensory overload, constant overwhelming of experience without being able to digest or assimilate what is being taken in

Madia  Ability to focus the consciousness and follow through with single pointed goals, when overly distracted and scattered

Impatiens  Trying to force the flow of time by speeding it up; impatience and quick-tempered tendencies which deprive the soul and body of true life rhythms and deeper perceptions

Vervain  Split in the mind body complex which operates as extreme fanaticism, zealousness or idolatry; leading to damaged nerves and depletion of soul forces

Cosmos  Inability to draw down spiritual forces of intelligence into speaking or thinking, usually resulting in rapid speaking or other nervous gestures

Morning Glory  Tendency to use drugs or other stimulants such as caffeine to speed up the mind, thus losing connection to the body and to healthy life rhythms

White Chestnut  Obsessive mental activity which robs the soul of mental repose and inner peace

Cayenne  Quickens the pace of the soul, especially when stuck or overly lethargic
