Definition: Trillium flower essence is a very effective cleanser and balancer for the lowest human energy center, referred to as the survival (base) chakra. A person needing Trillium has a disproportionate amount of energy directed toward issues of personal power or welfare. This excessive concern for personal well-being overrides other, more altruistic feelings within the soul. Such a person easily falls prey to the forces of materialism and greed, feeling a need for many possessions and other forms of material wealth and power. This remedy can also be indicated for one who is in poverty, but believes that acquisition of wealth and power would bring fulfillment. This soul imbalance can also be reflected in the body, especially when the body retains too much matter and does not effectively eliminate toxic waste. At the deepest level, such souls are disconnected from their spiritual strength; they seek to overcome an unconscious feeling of impotence by the exercise of social and material power. Because their awareness is limited to the physical plane, such souls can measure their self-worth only by material standards. Trillium encourages these individuals to shift their awareness to a transpersonal level, to derive a sense of personal well-being from a relationship to a Higher Power. Once the forces contained in the lowest chakra are purified and freed, such persons have great capacity to ground and harness spiritual forces in the service of others and of the Earth.
